How We Helped Africa Mission ‘09

This was a personal site designed to raise awareness and also incorporate online fund-raising methods for a mission trip to Africa. We wanted to share not only the story of the places and people we were going to work with on the ground, but also the plans we had for our time there. We also wanted to incorporate the African scenery into the design to help the viewer better understand our cause.

After the funds were raised, the home page transitioned to a blog for team members to document and share the events leading up to, during, and after the trip with family and friends. It also included an RSS feed and a discussion system for people on the trip to communicate with family back home during the trip.
